Privacy Policy
My Gold is built as a personal portfolio tool for tracking precious-metal holdings. Your privacy matters to us, and we want to be straightforward about how the app works.
What data stays on your device
All purchase records, vault items, sale history, and settings are stored locally on your device using on-device storage. None of this information is transmitted to our servers or any third party. If you delete the app, that data is permanently removed.
Network requests
The app fetches live precious-metal spot prices and foreign-exchange rates from publicly available market-data providers. These requests contain no personally identifiable information — only the type of metal or currency pair being queried.
Analytics and crash reporting
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand general usage patterns and diagnose crashes. These services may collect device model, operating system version, and anonymous usage events. No names, email addresses, financial details, or portfolio data are ever included in analytics events.
No accounts, no sign-in
My Gold does not require you to create an account or sign in. There is no user registration, password storage, or profile information collected at any point.
Third-party services
The app relies on external APIs solely for market data. We do not share, sell, or license any of your information to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
Children's privacy
This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, the updated version will be included in a future app update. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
